Dr. Kathryn Waud White Scholarship
Donation protected
We are friends, faculty, and colleagues (Dan Lovinaria and Roxanne McMUrray) of Dr. Kathryn White . On October 16, 2017, Dr. White passed away battling leukemia.
Dr. Kathryn White, DNP, APRN, CRNA, FAAN, Clinical Associate Professor and Nurse Anesthesia Program Director, has been a tremendous advocate for the nurse anesthesia education for students and for the profession. She's been a profound champion for both the Minnesota Association of Nurse Anesthetists (MANA) and American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
During Dr. White’s MANA Presidency, she was one of the key MANA leaders that helped facilitate the APRN bill to allow APRNS to be full practice providers today.
With Dr. White's family support, we are creating the Dr. Kathryn Waud White Scholarship program for Minnesota nurse anesthesia students in her honor to carry on her legacy.
All funds collected will be given directly to American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Foundation that will disburse these scholarships annually. The goal is to award two $500-1000 scholarships and fund balance will remain in the AANA foundation for annual awards.
The Dr. Kathryn Waud White Scholarship will help facilitate her never ending professional advocacy for the nurse anesthesia profession through the next generation of CRNAs.
Please consider donating to the Dr. Kathryn White Scholarship fund.
Thank you.
