Help our children become successful with safe transportation

Help Us Drive Success: "I want to go but don't have a ride!" This is often the case for most of our students.
Voices of Pacific Island Nations (VOPIN) empowers Pacific Islander students and communities through culturally responsive services and resources. Our programs provide essential academic, social-emotional, and cultural support. However, many of our students lack safe and reliable transportation due to their families' socioeconomic struggles. Your immediate support is crucial, and here is why we need your support:
High Rates of Poverty: Almost half of Washington's Pasefika community lives below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Many of our families struggle to afford basic needs, making transportation a significant challenge.
Homelessness and Income Disparities: Pasefika students experience homelessness at rates two to three times higher than the state average. Pasefika's median earnings are less than $30,000 annually in the Puget Sound area.
Our need for a van is urgent. We need your help to raise $50,000 to purchase a 15-passenger van. This van will provide safe and reliable transportation for our students to participate in and attend our after-school and summer programs/activities, allowing them to learn and become better students. Your donation will enable more students to participate in our programs and build a stronger, more connected community.
A passenger van will expand our impact, especially for students who might miss out on culturally relevant academic and cultural support services due to lack of transportation. It will also provide safe, reliable transportation, allowing our students to thrive! Together, we can make a lasting impact and create a better future for our children. Your donation today will help us drive success for our students and children!
Thank you for your support!
With gratitude,
