Dustin Ryan Rister will be going to his final resting place at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with Full Military Honors Friday September 27th at 2:30 pm. (His birthday)

This is a HUGE honor and it was offered to us at the funeral home. I wasn't ready to let go so, I declined. Soon after I felt like I was called there to check it out. I took my mom and she thought Dustin would be at peace there.

Dustin Ryan Rister, 37, died at 11:18 p.m eastern time in Indianapolis Monday, February 19, 2024. Born September 27, 1986 in Rantoul, IL, he was the son of Jeff and Tammie Lea (Hellrung) Smith of Golden Eagle, IL.

Dustin served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked as a line technician.

Dustin had so much to offer in life. Dustin was funny, loving, full of life, and will be sadly missed and his mother who loved him more than her own life will NEVER be the same.
