Help Ervin with re-tool & down payment on SBA loan
Dynamo Amplification, a high quality custom Guitar amplifier builder and first and only Black owned amplifier company in the industry according to the Editor-Chief of Guitar World Magazine seeks funding to R&D a new line of Solid-state and hybrid-tubes amplifiers to survive hostile tube market caused by covid-19 and Russian war with Ukraine.
My name is Ervin Williams and I’m the owner and designer of Dynamo Amplification. For over 10 years now I've been building high quality custom tube Guitar amplifiers crafted by hand in the USA using the finest materials and components available to create amplifiers that will elevate the tone of guitars to new levels. I expanded my product line by doing R&D over the last two years to develope a new line of Bass Guitar Amplifiers to fill a void in the Bass amp market that was created when many large music conglomerates discontinued production of popular bass amplifiers to follow the new trend in micro Class D Bass amplifiers (that fit in your backpack) leaving music stores with bare floors. Our Goal was to raise enough funding needed to meet SBA collateral requirements needed to secure financing to expand the business and start a small dealer network. This would allow our products to have more hands-on live demo exposure to consumers around the country and start building the brand outside of annual trade shows and media marketing.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we have experienced major issues with suppliers raising the price on parts and many manufactures closing down or discontinuing production of parts we use. We have had to find new part suppliers and change designs to work with the parts available. There has also been a constant shortage of Vacuum tubes used in the majority of amplifiers from which a USA owned company produces 90% of the tubes over 7 brands on the market are from a Russian factory Because of the Russian War in Ukraine and sanctions imposed by the US and other Nato countries, the price of tubes have gone up a average of 12% in addition to a 35% Tarrif causing them to be so expensive that we will no longer be profitable to continue to building tube amplifiers. There is also a shortage of tubes cause by panic buying created when it was announced that Russian President Putin banned export of 200 products that included tubes as an electronic component. The 2nd largest Tube manufacture located in Slovakia is backordered 18 -20 months and the Chinese manufacture has not started production after having a major fire a few years ago. There has been an announcement by a US Hi-Fi Tube manufacture who said they would start production guitar tubes but there has been speculation of what the price will be.
To remain in business with Guitar amplifiers I have decided to R&D a new line of hybrid & solid-state amplifiers. The hybrid amps only use 2-3 preamp tubes in the pre-amp and solid-state power amp and 100% all solid-state amplifiers uses J-FET/ Op-Amp IC to simulate the tonality of a tube amp. I am seeking funds needed to re-tool, redesign, and reorder new components needed to build new products with no dependency on Russian made components. This funding will be applied to meet SBA collatoral to get SBA loan needed to expand the business. Any donation will be appreciated to help up get up off the ground quickly to Punch the sky. I will be printing custom T-Shirts and I will send to anyone who supported me over $50. Thank You!! Please include your shipping address in the notes. Visit my web site www.dynamoamplification.com
