Support Edwin's Cancer Treatment

My name is Aiesha, and I am raising funds for my dad’s metabolically supported chemotherapy (MSCT) and integrative medicine therapies. My dad has had colon cancer for a while, but recently, it has become much more aggressive. Unfortunately, the treatments he needs come at a cost, and we cannot cover them all.
Let me tell you about my dad, Edwin. He is a fantastic human being. I am not saying that because I am his daughter, I say it because it is true. He is fun-loving, friendly and unbelievably strong, always putting his friends and family before himself. A big believer in the strength and power of community, he has volunteered for several non-profits in the Nottingham area, helping them grow and better serve their clients.
In 2019, my dad was diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer. Since his diagnosis, my dad has been doing all he can to fight the cancer while keeping his colon through various integrative medicine therapies as well as lifestyle and diet changes. Unfortunately, not all these treatments are available on the NHS. As such, my dad and mum, Jennifer, have had to make difficult choices on which therapies my dad should have, as budget allows. Throughout, he has worked with his GP and consultant, who have provided regular blood testing and annual CT scans. In October, my dad’s scan and tests showed that the tumour had become more aggressive, rapidly growing in size, leaving him severely anaemic and in pain.
The tests have also shown the tumour has grown too quickly to support itself, and part of it is dying. The goal now is to shrink the tumour through chemotherapy, but chemotherapy alone does not have a high success rate. To improve my dad's chances of beating this disease, the MSCT will be combined with other therapies that work alongside the chemotherapy to reduce the cancer and support the body.
My dad has been recommended to a specialist oncology clinic in Istanbul, Turkey, for an innovative treatment that combines chemotherapy drugs with additional metabolic therapies, including a very low carb diet, hyperthermia, hyperbaric oxygen and high-dose infusions of vitamin C and other nutrients. The estimated cost of these innovative treatments (including travel and accommodation) is approximately £40,000.
We have been able to pull together about half of this over the past few days through savings and the generosity of family and friends. However, we need help with the rest, and quickly. My dad has already started treatment, receiving the first of six cycles, and we have paid for cycle two. Cycle three is scheduled for the end of December, and we need to pay before it can begin.
I know it’s a difficult time for most financially right now. Still, anything you can give, any amount, will mean the world to my parents and our family. All the money will go directly towards paying for these treatments, giving my dad, Edwin, more precious time with his family – wife Jennifer, daughter Aiesha, son Kala and grandchildren Amiya, Kairo and Miles.
Any assistance that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated and accepted.
With love, appreciation, and respect.
