Michelle's Semicolon - Cancer Fight

Michelle has the best heart.  She's one of those people who, when you're talking to them, they make you feel like you're the most important person in the world.  What's more, she guarded my brother and me like a lioness and protected us from a difficult, abusive family life.  As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate her more and more, and she's one of my best friends.   A few weeks ago she got engaged to Ben, an excellent guy, worthy of my sister.
A few days later, Michelle was told she has colon cancer. 
My Big sister.  Practically my surrogate mother.  Cancer.   Nothing can prepare you for something like that.
When we found out our world changed overnight.  All of a sudden there were decisions to be made, surgery to be scheduled, chemotherapy, and all the subsequent issues that are associated with cancer.
Michelle is a grad student in Corvalis, Or, studying "Spacey Mars Rocks and Stuff."  She's super smart.
She's halfway through her Masters and has been awarded a grant to finish... but now she may need to quit, and will lose the grant.  We have no way to pay for the surgery, let alone everything else.
Please help me alleviate some of her stress.  She took care of me for so many years... I want to do the same for her.  It would mean the world to me if I can show her how much people love her and will be there for her.  Thank you so much for anything you can give - no amount is too small.  And if you can't give I understand, but please pray for her.
