MetroPark PWN's campaign for the Digital Divide

Donation protected
Join the EY MetroPark Professional Women's Network in supporting EY's Digital Divide program with a virtual 5K . EY is committed to being a force of change against systemic racism and discrimination. In line with our core values and our purpose of building a better working world for everyone, we are helping to raise money to help improve the digital divide.

The digital divide is the gap between those individuals with and without access to hardware and internet connection. This problem became more apparent at the onset of COVID-19 and the transition to remote learning. Some students, especially underserved minorities within communities of color, do not have access to computer hardware, connectivity or adult support to learn and perform at their full potential.

Consider these statistics:

35% of low-income US homes with children do not have high-speed Internet
25% of students do not have a desktop or laptop computer at home
35% of students without mentors are less likely to enroll in college

All funds raised will be contributed to Bridging the Digital Divide.
