Preservation of Vineland’s First House

Hello! My name is Sam Neuber and this is my Eagle Scout Project.

I have chosen to restore and preserve The First House Built in Vineland to benefit the Vineland Historical Society.

The First House has been restored several times since it was built in 1862 and even moved from its original location.

It is very historic and marks the beginning of the town that I have grown up in. I would love to help contribute to keeping it in good condition through all the years.

I will be doing tasks such as fixing cracks and gaps in the walls, flooring, fixing the stone platform, freshening it up with historically accurate paint and installing a clothesline. These funds will be applied towards anything used in this project from lumber to mortar to trashbags to food for the scouts and volunteers who help.

Any funds that remain will be donated to the Vineland Historical Society for the future preservation of our town’s history. I will also be posting updates throughout the project, where donors will be able to stay informed and see the progress.
