Family Loses House in Fire on Easter Morning
While Amber Douglas, daughter Jadyn McCullough (Forestbrook Middle School 8th Grader), daughter Lillie Stoker (Forestbrook Elementary School 4th Grader), and Lillie & Jadyn’s Grandmother Connie Douglas were at NewSpring Church this Easter morning, their house caught on fire and tragically, they lost their two dogs and other pets along with their home and all that was in it. What wasn’t lost in the fire, was damaged by smoke and water. They may not be able to return for months. Please pray for them.
As Amber and Connie comfort Jadyn and Lillie and one another, let their family, friends, and community come together to support them in the coming days, weeks, and months.
Not only will Amber need to start over with all the necessities for her family, she also has the added stress of finding the money for a rental home for her family. She met with the Red Cross today and though they can offer some immediate assistance, it doesn’t come close to covering the needs of this family.
Amber will need clothing for herself, her mother, and the kids (sizes listed below), shoes, toiletries, etc. If you have any of these items to donate you can bring them to 108 Partridge Berry Road in Forestbrook Reserve .
These are their most basic needs but the girls have lost their electronics, art supplies, books, games, and more. Lillie had just worked hard on enough chores to earn her very first iPad she bought just weeks ago. If you possibly have an iPad that you don’t use anymore, or want to donate money towards these things, that would be extra nice! There are many layers of loss and grief that they will continue to process over the weeks and months to come.
This family is so lucky to be part of the Forestbrook and Myrtle Beach community, NewSpring Church, and the Forestbrook Schools! Your support for them is so crucial. Please Help by making a physical or financial donation TODAY! Your help is needed now! Let’s wrap them in love during this extremely difficult time.
Thank You in advance for your support and donations. Any amount will help them to start rebuilding their life.
Thank you,
The Speer Family
