Fight the Good Fight with Eaven and Family

Donation protected
Eaven Austin is an amazing young man from an amazing family.  He has a light that shines like no other.  Once you meet him, it's easy to see how much he cares for his family, his faith, his friends, his community.   He graduated Coastal Carolina University in May and took a job at the Lancaster, South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.

Most of his life Eaven has lived a life of service to others.  In high school he served through Junior Civitan’s, played sports, and began a desire to mentor to others.  Throughout college he continued his service through on-campus service organizations, volunteering with after-school programs, and interning during the summers learning more about the community and ways to improve it. After graduation, and before he began at the Chamber, he moved back home to Lancaster, SC and continued his life of service. On July 13, Eaven and his mother Felice were running errands in a nearby town, picking up supplies for a youth program.  They were stopped at a stop light and were violently rear ended by a distracted driver.  The car was destroyed, and both Eaven and Felice were burned by the gas and injured.  Felice suffered from broken ribs and a nicked kidney.  Eaven took the brunt of the injuries.  He suffered severe head trauma from the impact.  Airlifted to the nearest trauma hospital, Eaven was placed in Trauma ICU, his mother was taken to a different hospital, but after being treated, she insisted on going to her son.  He spent days in a coma with a questionable prognosis. Since the accident, Felice, a 30 year veteran of SC DHEC, has been by his side.  His dad, Aaron has been there as well, but recently went back to work.  Although the family has strong family and community connections, medical expenses and daily trips to Charlotte, North Carolina are building up. The family has relied on their faith to see them through this tragedy.   Eaven is making progress and has recently been moved into the rehab wing, but there is a long road ahead.  Therapies and medical expenses will continue for some time.  We ask that you invest in his future and assist his family.  They need us to give- as they have given to so many others.

Eaven and his family are loved by many, the family asked that this account be set up and will receive all donations.
