Eileen Griffin Recovery Fund
Donation protected
While doing what she loves, spending time with friends and her Jeep adventures, Eileen Griffin’s life was forever changed in dramatic fashion. Heading home from an afternoon of off-roading, a broken driver’s side wheel left not only the Jeep, but Eileen’s life shattered. She sustained massive body and head injuries.
Eileen’s survival is simply a miracle. After being airlifted to a top-level trauma hospital, she was in a coma for three weeks. Every day since she woke up has been struggle for survival - a testament to her strength and resilience.
The accident was in early August, 2018. Time flies quickly in our daily lives. However, for Eileen, each hour of every day is in slow-motion, a grind to heal both physically and mentally.
This fund was originally set up for medical bills. As the scope of her healing reveals this is a long-term effort involving many, many months, we are now calling this effort a recovery fund.
Eileen’s operations (easily in the double digits), extended hospital stays and hundreds of tests have put medical bills in the millions. That’s reality, not hyperbole. This fund is about helping Eileen’s daily/monthly monetary commitments so she can focus solely on recovering without worrying about the burden of being financially wiped out.
We will continue to update Eileen’s recovery events and milestones. Until then, all donations are being used to help maintain Eileen’s infrastructure. The support from friends and strangers is overwhelming. Eileen is appreciative of all the love she has received as is her family.
Eileen would give up everything to help others. This GoFundMe has been set up because now she is the one in need. Please, support this cause, and pray for her rapid healing and recovery.
Thank you.
