Ella is raising money for Kids With Cancer

Ella and I would greatly appreciate it if you can support us in raising funds for Kids with Cancer Foundation.

In late November 2021, at only 6 months old, I noticed a small bulge on Ella’s right side and took her to the doctor, within a week we were flown down to Queensland Children’s Hospital, within the next week Ella had a mass and her right kidney removed and within the next week it was confirmed that the mass was a Wilms Tumour and that Ella would need to undergo 5 months of chemotherapy. 

Ella has been an absolute superstar through all she has endured and has shown an amazing strength for someone so young.  Now, 6 months on, we consider ourselves very lucky with the great news that Ella is now Cancer Free!

No one ever plans for their child to be sick and I, like others, always had the thought ‘it will never happen to me’. Although we have a wonderful public health care system, the financial burden associated with providing care for a child undergoing cancer treatment can be significant for some families with having to stop work, moving from their homes closer to treatment facilities etc etc and Kids with Cancer Foundation provides some relief to families in a time of so much emotional distress and they need your support to continue the great work they do.
