Hi, my name is ali, and I'm one of the many people Ellie has enchanted over the brief time she has been with us. I petsat for Ellie during the thanksgiving break and fell in love with her, her hopping, wanting to snuggle, and sweet confusion over how rain worked. We noticed she seemed a little bit slower than most puppies, but I assumed it was her aloof personality and was so happy when Deanna came to pick her up to take her back home, reunited after a long week. However, little did I know that my love for her quirks was something much more severe.

Ellie started having seizures two nights later.

After a long night in the McKinney ER, various tests, bloodwork, meds, and lack of sleep, they were referred to the blue pearl Neurology department. They were told they needed an MRI to see what was causing the issues, and after using care credit to pay the $6,000 needed just for the MRI, we have found that she has fluid in her brain, causing compaction and a rare deformity in the growth. This is where we need YOUR help. The surgery she needs is estimated at $8,000 and is her only chance at survival. She was given an opportunity once due to being the smallest in the litter and already overcoming pneumonia as a puppy, now we are going to fight for the second!
