A riser upgrade to Elsie's powered wheelchair.

Donation protected
I'm fundraising to include a riser function on my daughters new powered wheelchair. The basic model funded by the local authority is at a fixed height, making it difficult to perform tasks like reaching the counter or even sitting at tables.

Elspeth was born with heart defects and had her first surgery at 9 days old. She went on to have 2 more open heart surgeries before she was 4 and many many more surgeries via cardiac catheter. She followed up her heart problems with Hydrocephalus which needed her to have surgery again for a shunt. Then it was juvenile arthritis and discovery of a 17p13.3 chromosome microdeletion.

September 22, she was admitted to hospital for some short term IV meds and instead we were given the news she was in heart failure. She stayed in HDU for 5 months until February this year when we were told she had days left and was moved to hospice.
That's when a genuine miracle happened and she began to thrive. She improved so much that she came home from hospice in April.

This new powered chair is a big step in Elsie's independence and to have the riser included would be the icing on top of a very exciting cake. Please donate whatever you can, everything really does help. Thank you ❤️
