Donation Appeal for the E-Maktab Project

Hello,

My name is M.Sc. Sahel Jalalzai, a German citizen with Afghan roots and an IT Architect. As the initiator of the E-Maktab Project, I am dedicated to improving access to education for women and girls in Afghanistan.

Since the Taliban takeover in August 2021, access to education for women and girls has been severely restricted. The closure of schools and universities not only disrupts their present and future opportunities but also violates their fundamental human right to education and self-determination.

The E-Maktab Project was established to address this educational gap. We have founded a school in Kabul that offers educational opportunities to young women, including practical sewing courses. This school is already actively attended and plays a vital role in supporting the education of women in a challenging environment.

To ensure the project’s continuation and to support more women, every donation is of great importance. Your support will help provide essential resources such as infrastructure, rooms, tables, and learning materials, enabling more women to access education. All donations are transferred through the Solidarity with Afghanistan e.V. association to our partner NGO, Family Support and Welfare Organisation (FSWO) in Afghanistan, which ensures responsible management of the funds.

With your help, you will enable access to education and foster the personal and professional development of women in Afghanistan.
