Help Emily Fight Neuroblastoma
Donation protected
This page has been created for my precious niece Emily Lynn Santos, who has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. Emily is 12 months old and is undergoing treatment at The Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia. I am asking for your support to help Emily, Carlos and Jennifer through this very difficult time. Your donations would help this family pay medical expenses and needs for Emily. Every dollar will make an impact. Donations as little as $1 will make a difference. Thank you for taking time to visit this page & for considering how you can help this precious little angel and her parents!
Neuroblastoma is a rare cancer in which a solid tumor is formed by special nerve cells called neuroblasts. Normally, these immature cells grow and mature into functioning nerve cells. But in neuroblastoma, they become cancer cells instead. Neuroblastoma most commonly starts in the tissue of the adrenal glands, the triangular glands on top of the kidneys that produce hormones responsible for controlling heart rate, blood pressure, and other important functions. Like other cancers, neuroblastoma can spread to other parts of the body, such as the lymph nodes, skin, liver, and bones.
