Emmanuel Cafferty vs SDGE

On June 3rd, a stranger posted a picture of Emmanuel Cafferty on social media and falsely accused him of displaying a white power hand gesture in his company work truck. Emmanuel had his arm extending out his window and was merely stretching his fingers, unaware of any such hand gesture. This resulted in a wrongful termination on June 8th by his employer, SDG&E. Since these events the accuser, who had made the original post, has retracted his claim and deleted his account, stating he never intended for Emmanuel to lose his job. Regardless, the damage was already done. An innocent man lost his job, ability to provide for his family, and has had his character questioned. SDGE has refused to reevaluate the situation in spite of multiple attempts including a petition of well over 3000 signatures to reinstate Emmanuel Cafferty. Circumstances have led Emmanuel to seek legal representation to file a lawsuit against SDGE for wrongful termination. If you are able, we ask that you please donate to Mr Cafferty's legal fund.
