Empowering women,kids & communities, Uganda
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Joseph Williams and I represent 'Attitude Foundation Africa'. We are a small non-profit based in Bugiri, Uganda and I am fundraising on their behalf. I run the fundraising of the charity from England while my colleague, Ibrahim Taabo, is Managing Director in Uganda.
We have been building a Home Centre in the village of Nkusi (Bugiri) for the 96 children under our care. A number that is soon to increase. These children are at great risk of extreme poverty, abuse, and exploitation with no safe place to call home. Our building work is about halfway there with around £40,000 needed to fully create a safe, comfortable and clean home for around 300 at-risk children in the area. For some, it will be a place to feel safe and secure as they go through difficulties. For many, they are depending on its completion for a stable home.
That is the dream.
The reality is 96 children depend on us NOW for food, water, medicine, and other essentials. Although we have been kindly supported by individuals, groups, and communities we are in desperate need of bedding, medicine, and bathroom supplies. around £3500 is for mattresses and bedding while the rest are for other supplies. Although our children are currently safe and fed, these areas are where we struggle the most.
We are not a big charity. we are currently 16 people who need your support. Any support is appreciated. Financial donations are fantastic but we are equally as grateful for advice from people in the charity and legal sector.
You can find us on Instagram (@attitudefoundationafrica) or Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Attitude-foundation-Africa-114389410289213) to ask us any questions and see the work we do.
Changing a life for the better, even in a seemingly small way, is how we make the world a better place.
