Eowyn Whitesides Needs Our Help
Anyone who knows Eowyn Whitesides knows that she is one of the kindest, sweetest, most trusting people on this planet. This is why we, as her friends and family with limited funds, are doing the fundraiser. She has been and continues to be a devoted, stay-at-home mom with two children, ages 2 and 6. She also has been working to finish her education so that she can become a teacher.
The details of her situation are sensitive, thus we are not at liberty to disclose all that is happening in Eowyn’s life. She needs resources to help her through this incredible challenge she now faces.
She and her family have been living in a house owned by her husband’s parents. In February of this year, her husband moved out to stay with his parents for a while. Eowyn was shocked to learn that he had no intention to move back in with his family. Instead she was served divorce papers shortly after he left home. Eowyn now faces the fact that she must find somewhere else to live as she was recently told she has 60 days to vacate the premises. She is beside herself to find a good home for her and her children within the allotted time.
Another problem for Eowyn is that she has been told she cannot visit Utah, where she has family support, until the court settles the divorce and issues regarding the children. So she is in a city with little support except for her friends there.
We want to raise $15K that will enable Eowyn to get back on her feet. She will need to pay for rent, utilities, food, and other necessities for her and her children. She will also need funds for attorney fees to protect her and her children. And as we all know, attorney fees are astronomical.
