Support the Almeroth Family Following Eric's Passing

Eric was first diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme Stage 4 Brain Cancer in 2014. He underwent a successful craniotomy, radiation and chemotherapy, allowing us to return to "normal” life with our infant son Noah. In 2021, we were blessed with another baby boy, Blake Roman, whom we had longed for. Then in November of 2022, we were hit with the unexpected news that Eric's cancer was back and it was now on both sides of his brain. Surgery was not an option this time, so we opted for a different type of treatment to help stop/shrink the tumor from growing. That worked for about a year and a half, but Eric was deeply affected by this second hit from the cancer. We spent 2024 bouncing between home, hospitals, and various other healthcare facilities. In early August, we were told that Eric had developed a related and rare fatal condition (Leptomeningeal Disease) that would limit his time here with us . Our family spent the last weeks visiting and loving him at several locations until his passing on August 19th. Now we begin our firsts…Noah’s first day of 5th grade, my first anniversary without Eric, our first steps as a family who is missing an essential member. This GoFundMe was put together as means for people to be able to help our family with our daily, medical, and unexpected expenses, allowing us to focus on being together and forming a plan for our future as a family of 3. We have strong faith, an encouraging community, and are thankful for the many ways we have seen God’s hand in loving us through this season.
