Free to Breathe Art Show
Donation protected
My uncle, Dr. Eric G. Colman, 53, passed away from lung cancer on September 10, 2014. He proudly worked for the FDA and was one of the healthiest men I knew, and never smoked a day in his life. I got to spend time with him a few days before he passed and after seeing him like that I knew I had to raise money and awareness to help fight against lung cancer. Words cannot describe how proud I am to say Eric is my uncle, and I still cannot believe someone so amazing was taken from us so early. No one deserves to go through what Eric did, and I want to make a change, even if it's just a little. Eric's wife, Patti, is an artist so I decided to organize an art show in memory of Eric, and sell some of Patti's paintings in the show. I'm also going to use artwork collected from myself, my peers and local community members. All proceeds will be donated to Free to Breathe, a non-profit organization raising vital lung cancer research funding and helping patients fighting lung cancer. My goal is to raise $500 so I need your help! My art show will be held at the Coleman Center in the Newport Art Museum, on April 9th from 5 to 8pm.
Here are ways you can help me honor my uncle Eric and make a difference in the lives of all of those affected by lung cancer.
• Donate to support my fundraising efforts to increase lung cancer survival
• Come to my art show on April 9th from 5 to 8pm
• Spread the word about my fundraising by sending the link to this webpage to everyone you know
• All of the above!
