Hi there, I'm Rachel. I was asked to start this page on behalf of the kindest soul you could ever have the pleasure of knowing, Erin Sloan. I can say that without a doubt because I have known and loved my darling Erin for over 30 years. A week after Erin's 40th birthday she was given some of the most devastating news you could ever be told, that you have incurable, stage 4 Cancer. She called me and said "Sweetie, it's not good, but what am I gonna do?" and laughed her infectious laugh. Erin was so incredibly strong that day and continued to be. We found out she had a very rare but aggressive type of cancer, Cholangiocarcinoma, also called Bile Duct Cancer.

In just under 4 months, it took a drastic toll on her body along with her treatment, but Erin somehow remained sunshine-personified. Erin fought valiantly but the cancer was just too strong for how tired her body had become. On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 7:57 pm Erin lost her battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the people who loved her most.
