Erin (Tobin) Pratt's Leukemia Fund

Those who are fortunate to know Erin (Tobin) Pratt, appreciate her desire to be surrounded by the company of good friends, good music, and laughter. We admire her sense of humor, her resilience, her unwavering loyalty to those she loves, and the love and life she has created for her eight year-old daughter, Kayleigh. Erin, a dear and close friend to so many people, was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) in June of 2015.
With the tremendous and outpouring support she received from her coworkers at St. Luke's Hospital in Utica, NY, Erin was afforded medical leave, to take on her long course of treatments. After battling through an emotionally and physically demanding six months of chemotherapy (three of those months having to spend nights and days, at a time, in the hospital, away from her caring family and friends), she eventually prevailed.
With her strong will and determination, her sweet daughter Kayleigh, and her loving family by her side, she was able to kick leukemia's butt. Or, as Erin described her news of remission that February day, "I kicked some Cancer Ass, and am going to be just fine!" She said she felt "human again", and that "it's the little things now that make me so happy to be alive!"
And, after only two months of being in complete remission, and being rejoined with her daughter and family, was she re-diagnosed with leukemia. Since her re-diagnosis, she has enrolled in a new drug/treatment trial. She will have to travel over 2.5 hours away to Rochester, NY, on a frequent basis, and spend undetermined lenghts of days/weeks, away from her home, and from her daughter, as well as from family and friends.
Aside from dealing with the hardships, once again, of chemotherapy/treatments, and the hurt of being away from those that she loves, and those that love her, Erin is facing insurmountable medical and travel expenses. And with the inability to work, and the already incurred expenses from her previous cycle of chemotherapy, it is virtually impossible for Erin to pay for her treatments, and rent, and food, etc.
This GoFundMe campaign has been designed to raise money (and awareness) to help defray those costs and expenses that Erin already has, and will continue to incur, as well as help with the emotional stress that she will be sure to face.
With donations, in any amount, we can help Erin fight, and win, this battle with leukemia once again, and bring her back home to doing the thing she loves the most...being a mother to her daughter Kayleigh, the center of Erin's universe.
