Espe's Sweet 16 Trip

My sweet niece Esperanza is turning 16, a  very special milestone.  I'd like to organize a big surprise to show her the family wishes her the best even though we're far apart.  My sister Cathy and I both took trips for our 16th birthdays instead of having parties, and we'd like to create the same kind of memory for Espe.

Espe is an amazing girl. She's an honor's student, competitive swimmer, triathelete, saxaphone player, surfer and all around bad ass. She's the best daughter and niece anybody could ask for and it would be so great to be able to show her our love in a big way.

My idea is to meet her in San Francisco, California and treat her to a teen friendly 4-day weekend of fun there. Espe has never traveled without her parents and it would be great for her to get that experience while still having an adult in the mix of course. This will be her first visit to San Fran or California period! She'll get to set the agenda for the weekend: Golden Gate Bridge, Trolley Ride, Clam Chowder in a Sourdough bowl, Shopping, etc. 

Based on estimates, a RT flight from Espe's home to San Fran would run be $500-$600. The rest of the money would be used to cover some hotel (would be ~$800 total) or expenses like meals, entrances to museums, transportation, etc.  I'll be covering my own expenses for the trip and any money not used toward Espe's trip expenses will be given to Espe to put toward college or a car fund (she's driving now!!!).

Any bit you can contribute would make this Birthday Gift idea a reality and is greatly appreciate. Leave your birthday wishes for Espe on the wall and we'll share them with her.  I'd need to know if we can make this a reality byt November 4th.
