Everest for the Inland Northwest
Tax deductible
My original plan was to go at this alone, but with these unprecedented times and so many people in need, I couldn’t think of a better way to raise money in a short time. I will be attempting an Everest in support of Second Harvest Inland Northwest on June 4th (weather permitting). Second Harvest provides food to 26 counties in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. They have 2 kids programs, Bite2Go and School Pantry which are very important to me personally. With the Covid-19 epidemic, children are having challenges with not only schools being closed, but at an even more fundamental level they are experiencing access and shortage issues with food. Children are our future! Without proper nutrition none of us, especially children, can function to our fullest potential. If there is ever a time to support children the time is now!
We (Judy(mom), Kim & I) will be matching the first $2000 in donations.
Quick overview of an Everest … To complete an Everest you vertically climb the height of Mount Everest 29,029 ft. I will be doing this on a hill near Vantage Wa. The hill “Sunland Road ” has a vertical gain of 774ft, I will need to complete 38 laps.
