Here is the journey and purpose of the "Extract Anna's Eggs" fundraiser, written by Anna.
"On sept 1, I was diagnosed with an aggressive cervical cancer. I prepared for a surgery on oct 2nd to have my cervix removed. During this surgery the doctors discovered that I also had ovarian cancer on my right ovary.
The doctors removed my cervix, uterus, Fallopian tubes, and right ovary... But they were able to keep my left ovary!!!
This means I can still have my own child, but my sister will be the carrier of my child once my fertilized egg is implanted into her.
The problem is time! I start chemo on December 8th and will be given 4 doses about 3 weeks apart. Once chemo ends I will begin radiation.
Radiation will kill my eggs, so I need to have my eggs preserved prior to both the chemo and radiation. Preservation of eggs, blood work, freezing, storage and implantation will cost about $10,000 and I simply have no way of getting this much money this quickly or securing a loan as I have only been a realtor for 1 year. If God wants me to be able to have a child, I feel the money will come someway, somehow. If you can donate or help by sharing my "gofundme" link with friends or family I would be so grateful.
