Help FALLOUT build community with a Film-Making Utopia

Step into a realm where creativity community thrives. Welcome to the heart of our initiative, Be Kind Rewind Film Studio—a haven nestled within the Red Rooster Coffee House building, where folks will workshop cinematic endeavors and relationship building.
Not just a studio; a Film-Making Utopia, where every participant's voice resonates, and imagination becomes stories. The Be Kind Film Studio follows a protocol, meticulously crafted to allow everyone a role in the creative art form of collaborative filmmaking.
At the Fallout's core beats a mission to forge bonds and build community through the transformative power of the arts. Within the Fallout, a vibrant tapestry of artists, musicians, filmmakers, and creatives of all backgrounds converge, finding not just connection, but purpose and belonging.
To realize this dream, we're striving to match a $5000 grant from the SD Arts Council, fueling this year's programming. This includes establishing a film studio as a sanctuary for groups to experience the magic of collective storytelling. But it doesn't stop there; our grant-backed initiatives span a plethora of enriching endeavors throughout the year.
Your support isn't just appreciated; it's indispensable. Together, we're weaving the fabric of a more inclusive and vibrant community.

- Be Kind Rewind Film Studio: It's like an escape room but instead of solving a puzzle you and a group write, film and watch a movie together in roughly 2.5 hours. It's a structured format that offers an experience of collaborative creativity for groups of 8-12 people.
- Better Ride: Our band made up primarily of people with developmental disabilities who write, record and perform their own songs and go on a tour each summer to share their music.
- Art & Music Parties: Monthly gathering of musicians, artists and other creative types with free art supplies, snacks and performances by local musicians with a range of experience.
- Live Music performances: Touring musical acts perform while local musicians have the opportunity to open up for them and interact.
- Art Gallery: Local and regional artists display their works in our gallery and have the opportunity to discuss their creative process with community members
- Poetry Open Mic Nights: Local poets get to share their poetry monthly to a supportive audience of listeners.
