SHE DIDNT DO IT! #FREESHAYLA

Update 07/26/2023: Yesterday the 25th was Shaylas hearing regarding request to modify her release conditions and reduce or remove bond. The judge reduced her bond from 150,000 to $5400 .

Shayla had a lot of support almost fill up the courtroom. She had no idea so many people would be there. Family and friends flew in and drove in from out of state to support her. It was very warming for us both.

My mom, Shayla's grandmother was able to post her bail, luckily she will be getting it all back once the case is closed.

We ALL learned that the ACTUAL person that committed the acts she's being charged with was in fact arrested on July 3rd THANK GOODNESS!!

I'm at the intake and release facility as I'm typing just patiently waiting on my daughter to make her way out into the world again.

Update 07/14/2023: The judge finally added “Oral Argument” which is the hearing where the request to modify her release conditions will be discussed. Wish us the best please.

Update 07/06/2023: My daughter received the discovery. There are inconsistencies in the police report and the victim statement. The so called “EVIDENCE” that was collected have items that are irrelevant to the case! I probably should not divulge that info. Although I definitely wanted to update Shayla’s supporters to say that things are looking better for her as the days go by.

Update 07/03/2023: Public defender officially filed a motion to modify bond and instead release my daughter. Judge has 10 business days to respond, then P.D has 3 days to reply. Then we go to court for the decision. She will still be stuck there for another 45 days given that the motion to modify is granted. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be.

Update 06/29/2023: Public Defender responded to my email. “I do believe her bond is very high (given the fact that the offenses are non-dangerous and Shayla has no criminal history and is very young) and I am inclined to file a Motion to Modify her release conditions once I have had a chance to speak with her. Once I file that motion, the State will have 10 days to respond, I will have 3 days to Reply, and then the judge can set a hearing regarding the motion. ”

“I finally received a police report on June 26, 2023 and was able to conduct a conflicts check. I have not received any other discovery to date.”

”The State is not required to disclose the evidence to me at until on around the time of the IPTC which is currently scheduled for August 15, 2023. ”

Update 06/27/2023: Entered a Not Guilty at her Original Arraignment.

This is an extremely difficult time for our family. Shayla has been in custody since June 10th. Not allowed to have visitors other then from legal council. On June 9th Shaylas house was raided based on false accusations, she was arrested and facing extreme charges. Those being Aggravated Robbery, Robbery and Kidnapping. Only thing she’s guilty of is being in the wrong place at the wrong time. She is a victim as well.

My daughter is not capable of committing such a crimes which makes this all the more heartbreaking. These charges are equivalent to 2nd degree murder so this is not a small deal, she really needs our help to fight on her behalf. Her legal council is unable to properly assist her as no one is sending her P.D a police report or victim statement. Absolutely nothing to work with at all. She can’t even have a decent conversation with her PD because they rush her off the phone after 2 mins of talking. Can’t get much accomplished in 2 mins.

As a single mom of 2, I was already going through financial difficulties and do not want to give up on assisting my baby girl. She needs our support asap! So many of us know the beauty this girl carry’s. For now I would just hope that the community believes me when I say my daughter is not capable or the type to be motivated to commit such crimes she’s being charged with. She is a revolutionary, Minimalist, Humanitarian, Vegan and so much more that would not harm a fly or anything else! As her mom, I and many can go on and on about her. Lover of humans of all ages, teaches children that she builds relationships with how to camp out and survive, feeds the less fortunate, has volunteered at My Starving Children many times in the past. She’s a young talented artist. Deep thinker, over thinker. Has ADHD (suffers mainly internally) Shy (short for Shayla) is the type of kid that wants everyone to know how to sustain as a minimalist and to be prepared to survive in the worse case scenario. If she could single handedly bring peace and order back to our Country, she would have it no other way! Her passion runs so deep it causes her to fall into sadness, feeling powerless with not enough supporters to help make the Impact she craves to make. So instead she try’s to touch the minds and hearts of people one at a time. My daughter has been this way since she was a teen. She deserves the support of our community.

please any amount will help us get closer to obtaining Private Council. We NEED an Attorneys help starting the beginning of August.

I’m not just saying these things because she’s my daughter. Everyone that knows her knows she is a deep and beautiful soul. She is being accused of crimes she did not commit and with lack of evidence she is being treated as guilty until proven innocent instead of the other way around.

Ive created this GoFundMe account in hopes to receive financial help from loved ones. I’m praying that everyone can pitch in what they can afford and as a group I’m able to help her hire Private Council. I literally need the villages assistance right now as I know I’m not alone although I feel very alone in this struggle.
