Help for Huge Crop Losses on Heritage Family Farm
Donation protected
My name is Brante, and my family has been farming in the Okanagan Valley, in the BC Interior of Canada for over 100 Years. This 2024 fruit season has devastated our farm, in Jan we had temperatures of 5C which plunged to -30C within days. This caused many plants and trees to be killed outright, as well as, the nearly complete loss of our cherry crop, total loss of our peach, plum and apricot crops, and severe damage to our grape crops. Also our apples and pears will be very light cropping this year as well. Our soft fruits are what pays the bills for the year, as we have a busy July and Aug season of tourists coming to the farm to buy fruit, as they have for around 80 years on this property. We welcome people to come to our farm, but this year I must also ask for help in our survival. To keep the lights on over the upcoming winter we need to have at minimum, $25k-$30k from our soft fruit season. I ask for donations to help us through this difficult time. You are more than welcome to visit us and see and enjoy the farm and observe the empty trees. Thank you very much for any support you are able to offer.
Any donations will be directly applied to our farm maintenance, operating costs and property costs. NO funds will be used for personal expenditures of any kind. I am happy to share all financial records relating to this campaign at any time, including to share our farm incomes and expenditures.
