Covid Long Hauler Needs Support! Covid Warrior

Long Covid Warrior and mother of 2 Needs your Support to alleviate financial burden following a now 2 year battle with long haul Covid that has left her disabled. Our family is struggling just on one income alone.

Hi, My Name is Juan Taveras. Josephine is my lovely wife. On April 21, 2020 she contracted Covid from our elementary school age kids and then again in January 2022. Me and my children recovered. As for my wife Josephine, she did not recover. She suffered for months silently with lingering symptoms. She is a Covid long hauler. Doctor's are still stumped as to what is happening with her and her body. She had normal tests, yet she is no stranger to this phenomenon. My wife is one of millions of others suffering from lingering post-Covid symptoms. She has been diagnose with Rheumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia, PTSD, and depression. She wakes up every day in pain. I can't even begin to tell you the burden this disease has had on our family. My wife has fought for disability benefits, to wich she was denied. Even with a post covid clinic document she obtained through mount sanai in NYC. My wife's story was featured in New York Times in October 2021 regarding her struggles and the struggles of other Covid long haulers over disability benefits. Feel free to look up the story yourselves.

Long Covid is a monster! It has taken my wife's happiness away, as well as her will to go on. A lot of you know Josephine as kids. Some of us met her later on in life, myself included in Highschool. I'm sure you all remember how happy and healthy she was. Nothing wrong with her health. Now Josephine struggles to breathe, fatigue, shortness of breath, tremors, joint pain, chest pain, tachycardia, and burning pain in all her extremities. Just to name a few. She has suffered so much and I feel hopeless on how to help her. Josie has been so courageous through this whole ordeal. I want nothing more but to make her happy and for her not to have to worry about the medical bills or back up rent we have due to her illness. But guys, its been hard to due it all on my own. I need help and I am suffocating. Josie is such a good person and loving friend to us all. Show her some support in her hour of need. I know she would do the same for all of you.

This video is from 2021. Josie had a few more episodes like this. However, this was the only time I was able to record it as they happen so randomly. Thankfully she hasn't had another ever since. It still is frightening for her and for me to had witness this and be so helpless to help her.

My Wife and I do not own rights to the video below. Just sharing to raise awareness for my wife and all Long Haulers everywhere just like her. What Long Covid does to people is so horrible. I feel for my wife and all Long haulers.

I know these look like normal stats but Josie gets lightheaded and dizzy and feels like she is suffocating. I let her cry in my arms when this happens.

This was an episode with Josephine where she was blacking and spacing out. Speaking from experience I have with my mother who suffers from siezures. It looked like Josie was having absent siezures.
