Farewell to Javion Matthews

"I believe death is only a door. One closes, and another opens. If I were to imagine heaven, I would imagine a door opening. And he would be waiting for me there." - Cloud Atlas

This is a mini fundraiser for The Descendants of Harold and Rose Jordan Foundation

Sometimes really tragically sad things happen. On Monday July 17, 2023, our little precious Javion Matthews, Deja Granger's son, made his way through that metaphysical door that we all must walk through at some time and embarked on the next great adventure. (This is how I view death anyway, it is a door; and yes when the door closes on this earth plane, it opens up to the spiritual one; and that's a far better plane anyway. Oh the colors on the spiritual plane, you wouldn't believe how vibrant they are! Everything is love there; and so everything sparkles in magnificent fashion! This is a wonderful transformation for Javion, (God's got him, now!)

But it's a horrifically tragic and sad nightmare for the rest of us, struggling to understand how to live life without him. He made his way into all of our hearts, and now, those hearts have been ripped out of our collective chests.

Javion's extended families are devastated beyond belief. Saying goodbye to a beloved young child, is one of the hardest things any parent will ever have to do. His early departure has devastated his parents, grandparents and even great-grandparents. So many people have been impacted by one of the most profound kinds of grief in existence.

Unfortunately, Jesse Matthews and Deja Granger are tasked with saying farewell to their delightfully feisty little one; and they, along with their families are planning a grand celebration of life for little Javion. This is not an expense that anyone plans for a child, but when it happens, everyone wants the very best for the precious little soul. We're going to need a little help. Will you help us? I am certain I can rely on the extraordinary kindness and decency of all the good, true and helper humans to get this done for Javion. I thank you all in advance!

About Javion
We called Javion New-New. We called him that, because he was the youngest of three, all boys. The oldest Jesse Junior is 5, the middle child, Javier is 2 and half, the youngest New-New, was 1 and half; and his mother Deja decided to call him New-New, because he was the newest member of her family.

New-New was an absolute delight! Because although he was born with significant disabilities which required that he receive a variety of therapies (physical, occupational and speech), he was a fighter! He often surpassed the goals that his therapists established for him; and though he was hospitalized on more than one occasion due to his disabilities, he always recovered quickly. We were certain that he was going to beat the odds! He was doing very, very well.

And then a very ordinary, but fatal, thing happened. He choked on a piece of candy. His mother Deja and grandmother Astra, along with myself worked very, very hard to revive him. My sister carried the bulk of that work, however, as she has the most medical expertise and is quite proficient at CPR. This part was extremely traumatic to his older brothers, ages 2 and 5, who observed my sister's attempts at resuscitation. Of course they were too young to understand what was happening, but they knew it was nothing good. The two year shrieked in horror as my sister began chest compressions, while I was desperately relaying the CPR instructions from the 911 dispatcher to my sister.

After receiving the 911 dispatch, the EMT professionals arrived in heroic fashion. My sister and I collapsed into each other's arms and prayed that the experts would be able to save New-New. They pulled out paddles, and other special medical equipment, but were unable to revive him at my sister's house. EMT rushed him away to University Hospital where the staff continued to pull out all the stops for him, but alas, it just wasn't meant to be. Ultimately, the family was informed by the hospital staff that there was nothing that anyone could have done. The candy was trapped in his throat in such a way that it could not be dislodged. It was impossible to unblock his airway.

The Great Adventure
“Energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be changed from one form to another.” - Albert Einstein.

My spiritual beliefs assure me that New-New is fine! He is back in the spiritual realm, with all his ancestors and his soul family. He was greeted by many and told: "Job well done! You did what you set out to do, and so quickly! It takes most souls an entire human lifetime to accomplish what you did in under two years."

His mother Deja, held his lifeless body at the hospital, and rocked her baby one last time, saying "New-new you made quite the impression on me." He made an impression on us all! He will be missed. And New-new wasn't the type to ever give up, or give in. He smiled a lot, he laughed a lot, he watched Jools on TV, and oh my! He danced! Could he ever dance! It was always quite a sight to see! Our little dancing New-new! We are at a loss, missing our little New-new, but I know he's still around, just in a different form; and if you're paying close enough attention you might see him. I think I already have.

Farewell Arrangements

We would like to pay our last respects to New-New by allowing his extensive, extended family to say one last goodbye, reminisce over him and break bread sharing our fond memories of him. These type of arrangements carry a minimum cost of $12,000. I have set a goal of $15,000 in the hopes of purchasing enough food to feed everyone who loved our little New-new at the repast.

So please give whatever you can! I am requesting that all descendants of Harold and Rose Jordan help us out, because this is what our ancestors would want for us to do! Do it in honor of Harold and Rose Jordan who taught us the meaning of family. Do it for love, as it exists in the spiritual realm that we all ultimately end up returning to. But most of all, do it for New-New !

Sincerely Amli your everyday Lightworker
The main purpose of The Descendants of Harold and Rose Jordan Foundation is to provide assistance to those in desperate and transitional situations.
