Fast Snake Identification Service

After creating the Fast Snake Identification group in 2017 it's been a long journey to come this far.

What started off as a handful of members and just myself as the sole ider trying to help people and save a few snakes has now balooned to almost 70,000 members! and 100 posts a day in summer, we've had to recruit another 70+ iders to cope with the demand.

The Admin Team and Approved Iders spend thousands of hours a year volunteering their personal time 24 hours a day to keep this group running efficiently, identify snakes and help educate people all for the gratification of saving a few snakes and educating people.

Over the years I've had members contact me directly about what they can do to help and where they could donate to show appreciation for the work we put into this group which we've always politely declined.

To this day I have funded every group expense personally but as the group continues to grow so has the cost with things such as lawyer fees to protect our team and prizes to gift to our members starting to add up.

Most of the Admin Team & Approved Iders are snake catchers and do wildlife rescue in their spare time so we've decided to utilise this go fund me to give members who appreciate what the team contributes to the Fast Snake Identification Service by giving them a way to support the combined wildlife rescue work our team does on a daily basis and cover increased operational costs of maintaining the group to this standard.
