Father Clement Attia Chuo

For almost 40 years, Father Clement Attia Chuo has served the needs of Catholics throughout Cameroon as a Catholic Priest. A skilled linguist in French and English, he was able to minister to areas of Cameroon where language had been a barrier to celebrating the Mass and teaching the faith. He served as a parish priest, a spiritual director in a seminary, and was a chaplain to both religious and prisoners before retiring in 2014. He was featured in a December, 2017 article in Our Parish Times, Hearing God's Call In Africa , pg 35
In 2017, he came to Burtonsville, Maryland, USA to visit his sister. Poor health has kept him from returning to Cameroon. He is being treated for serious vision problems, prostate cancer, and other health issues. Regardless of this, Father Clement has been assisting at daily Mass administering the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and is working on creating a CD of the Rosary in the native dialect of his home parish, Holy Trinity Parish, Bota-Limb, Cameroon. His reverent, humble, and dignified presence belies a life filled with many interests and a passion to continue ministering even in his retirement and poor health.
We have been inspired by Father Clement’s dedication to his priestly vocation and selfless commitment to serving our parish in spite of his problems. This Go Fund Me Campaign is to alleviate the cost of the medical bills that have been incurred during his treatment here in the U.S.
