Hello friend, My name is Hector Molina. I am a lay Catholic evangelist and former Director of Evangelization for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. You might recognize me from my time as an apologist for Catholic Answers or as a member of Casting Nets Ministries. For the past three decades I have traveled the country proclaiming the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ and the teachings of His One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. If you have ever heard me preach or teach, you know that I have a passion for evangelization and a zeal for souls.

Over these many years I have become increasingly convinced of the great hunger and need that exists for solid biblical and kerygmatic preaching and teaching and have devoted my full energies towards this end; primarily through Live Events such as Parish Missions, Retreats, Seminars, Diocesan Conferences and evangelistic gatherings of all types. 

For years now I have felt drawn to engaging in online evangelization and catechesis, but until recently had not ventured out in any significant way. That is until the Covid-19 pandemic.

Once the travel bans were issued and the nationwide "lockdown" was put into place, several months worth of preaching engagements were cancelled, including a Holy Land Pilgrimage that I was scheduled to lead in the summer. For the first time ever I was completely grounded during my busiest preaching season of the year.

Dioceses across the country began cancelling all public Masses and the now homebound faithful were scrambling to find ways to nourish and sustain their faith during this unprecedented global crisis.

Pastors responded by live-streaming their Masses and broadcasting messages of encouragement on social media as a means of feeding their flocks. Catholic Conference organizers and apostolates, faced with widespread event cancellations banded together to put on Virtual Online Conferences which brought the gospel to tens of thousands of hungry souls across our country. (I was recently honored to participate in one such event in which more than 60,000 Catholics participated from around the globe!)

Over the last several months I have heard from numerous Catholics from throughout the United States and abroad expressing a real hunger for more inspirational and faith-building online content. These very same Catholics were encouraging me to add my voice to the growing chorus of voices that were using the medium of the internet to make Christ known.

In response, On Palm Sunday I announced that I was going to be conducting a Facebook Live Holy Week Bible Study on the Passion. Armed with an old laptop and a bible I launched my first broadcast. The response to this weeklong study was nothing short of amazing! By the end of the week I was inundated with messages from Catholics across North America and as far away as Australia, encouraging me to consider extending my bible study beyond Holy Week. A few went so far as to send me unsolicited donations towards the purchase of new equipment that would enable me to continue the outreach that I had begun. I was blown away by the enthusiastic support and generosity, which served to confirm what I had already received from the Lord in prayer. He was calling me to put out into the digital deep!
