Kim's septic system burned up, too
Donation protected
This campaign started out as Feed Kim's Cows because at the time all I knew was that all her feed burned up. And on that alone, dozens of people around the world opened their hearts and purses, raising half the goal in a few hours.

Damage assessment has revealed that Kim's septic line is damaged, beyond repair. There are no patches available because that kind is no longer sold. No septic, no toilet. Think about living in a house with
no facilities...and no nearby neighbors except that really unfriendly one . The estimated cost of repair is $20,000 AUD. Our goal is only $5,000 USD (about $6700 AUD).
Many loving starving artists have raised close to $3400 of the $5000 original goal. Many have shared the link across Facebook. Thank you so very much. Your goodwill and donations are so helpful.
We need a little more. Please, won't you share with other friends, family, groups? Do you know those who are not starving artists who care about other people? Do the residents of Oz know people in Australia who can help? Financially, and also labor and materiaks and feed for the cows will all be helpful.
Kim Morris is one of the most giving people I have ever met. She needs help. Please assist.
We changed the picture from the gorgeous art to the fire trucks who arrived before her hiuse went up in flames. That tells the story a little better.
Again, thank you all for your loving thoughts and monetary goodwill. The positive energy brought the rain clouds in Oz, I am sure of that!!
read on for the original post and modifications.
You will see that the money will be withdrawn by Ellen Atwood., who originated this campaign. The rules say withdrawers must have a US address and Social Security number. Kim, an Australian, has neither. Therefore, I withdraw the funds and forward to Kim. We will provide proof of that in some way, when we get to that point.
*******Older Verbiage Below*********************
It would be shorter to change the title to Feed Kim's Cows and Fix Her Potty. Read on for details.
The original campaign focused on the plight of the cows. It was later that I learned the fire, which may not have been quite an "accident, destroyed Kim's septic facilities. She has no working toilet. Kim's mom lives with her and is staying at a friend's house until the septic is fixed.
I originally said that Kim lost nearly all she owns. That was a misunderstandiing on my part. The losses and damage are significant, but she still has her materials, her art, clothes, and furniture, and her dogs who were in the house. The firemen, who just happened by to check on the neighbor's rubbish burning, said her house would have been gone in 2 minutes. The careless neighbor stood watching.
None of this makes the situation better or worse. It is a psychologic trauma as well as financial. By donating as much as $1, you are helping Kim feel safe again and repairing the damage.
Wish list: community members who live near Kim in Australia, please find
1. Contractors who are willing to donate time or materials for the septic repair..
2. Water haulers who can donate some water for the stock (or rainmakers).
3. Pro bono lawyer who can advise Kim of her legal rights.

I am a metal clay artist active on many groups throughout Facebook and the Internet. Kim Morris, principal award winning artist for Aussie Metal Clay, was burnt out of her home a few days ago by a careless neighbor burning rubbish on land adjoining hers with significant damage. Next to her family and her art, Kim's animals mean the most to her, It is winter in Australia, and her livestock's feed went up in smoke.
Kim shares of herself and her knowledge without asking for anything in return, always willing to help metal clay artists develop their talent. Now she needs help to get her animals fed during the season.
Please join me in helping Kim help her animals by donating the equivalent of a pack of metal clay. By joining hands we can give back to someone in desperate need. This will lift one burden from her shoulders as she rebuilds her life.
I have heard that being threatened by fire is one of the most traumatic things that can happen to a person. Money won't ease the fear, or course. Artists banding together to help one of our own carries sentiments that will ease her troubled soul during such a dark time. Will you please be one of the band of artists helping?
