Feeding Rwandan Families in light of COVID-19

Hello to you who are reading this!
We hope this message finds you safe and healthy!
Sci-Touche is an initiative conceived by two Rwandans (current and former students at Bucknell University) in the United States. Our goal from the beginning of 2018 has been to help improve STEM education in Rwanda by emphasizing the need and help provide access to hands-on education. The project was officially implemented in Rwanda during the summer of 2019 with the Partnership of Kigali Public Library and the leaders of APAPEC Murambi Secondary school and Groupe Scolaire Kimironko II. In light of the COVID-19, we are experiencing difficulty due to limited access to resources to make continue with our main goal. While this remains our primary focus and we continue to seek ways to help students continue their studies in these difficult times, we realize that many families in Rwanda are not even able to afford to put food on the table because of quarantine, and we acknowledge the presence of this need and more across the globe. Therefore, as Sci-Touche initiators, we wanted to start putting together some funds to at the minimum buy some foods for a couple of days and of course, this will require any help from anyone who has anything to spare/share. With the help of the local leaders, we are ready to share what we can as students currently outside Rwanda, although it might not be enough, we hope to use it to encourage others to contribute as well, but we need your help. We have a total of $250 dollars that we have already added to this GoFundMe from our previous fundraising efforts, and we are hoping to quadruple this amount, at the minimum, to feed the different families in need whether be families who make a living by selling products like avocados on streets, people who help others carry groceries from the markets, families with kids who usually would be eating at school and now they are home with no source of income, etc. The list goes on and on.
Every little bit you are able to give will go way beyond for these families. Table 1 is an approximate example of the possible meal combination that would feed at least 4 people for a day (at a total of around $ 5- $7 ) based on the list attached list (Table 2) from the price provided by the Rwanda Ministry of Trade and Industry.
