Support Finsbury Park RFC: Help Us Build a Better, More Inclusive Facility!

Finsbury Park RFC has always been more than just a rugby club. We’re a community where people come together to play, grow, and find belonging through the sport we love. But right now, our facilities are holding us back.

Our changing rooms at Downhills Park are basic, our showers are temperamental, and we lack outdoor space where players can relax and connect. Some teams have been known to avoid playing against us because of these poor conditions. More importantly, without a welcoming, inclusive environment, we're missing opportunities to grow the game—especially for women and underrepresented groups.

The Good News: The RFU has generously awarded us a grant that will match £10,000 for facility and social space improvements. This is a fantastic opportunity—but we need to raise our share to unlock these funds. With your help, we can transform Downhills Park into a vibrant, inclusive space that encourages more people to pick up a rugby ball and feel part of something special.

We appreciate the funding goal is very ambitious and we will also be hosting fundraising events and working with sponsors to meet the target. Any donation you can give is greatly appreciated!

Your Donation Will Help Us:

Upgrade the changing rooms and create split, inclusive toilet facilities

Install a new container with benches, umbrellas and lighting

Build a welcoming patio area for socializing before and after games

Spruce up the outside with fresh paint and planters to create a space people are proud of

Why It Matters: Right now, players don’t want to hang around after matches—not because they don’t love the club, but because there’s nowhere comfortable to stay. We want to change that. By creating a space where people feel welcome, we can boost team spirit, attract new players (especially women), and strengthen the sense of community that makes grassroots rugby so special.

Time Is Tight: We need to raise the funds before the summer to deliver the improvements and make the most of the RFU grant. Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to our goal.
