The Iu Mien people arrived into the US on April 23, 1976 as refugees from Laos to escape the spread of communism and oppression. A large group of the Iu Mien refugees settled into Sacramento California in the early 1980s with very minimal resources. Through the faith, compassion, and the unconditional love of God working through people such as the late Mr. Dale Love and Barbara Love, the Iu Mien Central Fellowship church was established in 1984. For over 37 years, pastor Yauz En and pastor Jiem-Seng, and the elders at Iu Mien Central Fellowship have served the needs of the Iu Mien people across multiple generations. The church is in the Oak Park community of Sacramento where the Iu Mien resided. However, due to unforeseen circumstances the church grounds are no longer available to the Iu Mien Central Fellowship congregation and must now start a new chapter elsewhere with a church of their own to call home. 

In the great "faith" chapter (Hebrew 11) we are reminded that trust is strongest when clarity is dim or non-existent. Noah built an ark while waiting for 120 years for an unprecedented rainfall. Sarah was told to trust God for a child in her old age with no clarity as to how such a thing could happen. The stories are extensive. Faith flourishes when we are trusting God at the deepest level with a willingness to let go of our insistence for clarity.
