Monkey Ballers Red Bull Flugtag '15
Donation protected
What happens when six intrepid (and good looking) MIT aerospace engineers decide to show they have "the right stuff" and enter the 2015 Red Bull Flugtag competition?
A date with destiny, and a record about to be shattered.
Red Bull Flugtag started in 1992 and involves teams building gliders and pushing them (and a pilot!) off a 30ft tall runway into a lake to see who can fly the furthest. This year Flugtag is in Portland, OR on August 1st.
We are the Monkey Ballers, Billy Thalheimer, Hayden Cornwell, Peter Williams, Isaac Margulies, Nick Roberts, and Sebastian Fischer. Please like our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/FlugtagMonkeyBallers) and definitley check out our bios. We'll be posting pictures of the aircraft build (and dance practice) as everything comes together! We'll also be one of only five out of the total 45 teams who will be interviewed and featured on Red Bull TV!
Obviously, building an airplane is expensive. We would greatly appreciate any and all support from friends and family. No donation is too small! If you donate $50 or more, we'll put your name on the Space Banana (the offical name for our aircraft) and on our competition T-shirts.
Help us smash the Flugtag world record distance in front of 80,000 people!
And seriously, we cant thank you all enough for your donations.
