We are a group of friends committed to helping our dear friend Jane and her family in a time of crisis.
Sometimes, terrible things happen to really good people, and when they do, everyday people can help. As the result of an accident, Jane is in an intensive care unit with head trauma, far from her home and from her people. Nobody was prepared for this. Jane can't be moved, and won't be for some time. Family must be with her but none of them live in the city where the hospital is located.
That means large expenses for them -- hotel rooms, gasoline, plane tickets, restaurant meals, phone charges, parking fees, day care, fees to take care of things back at home -- you name it. There will doubtless be uncovered medical expenses as well.
Many people have already come forward and asked what they can do, and this is one way to help. Having family next to her bedside will help Jane come back to us. But the financial burden on them is more than anyone had expected.
Any funds contributed will go the family immediately, and all contributions will be applied to cover their needs. No amount is too small. (Don't be scared off by the $5,000. We are happy with anything you are willing to share.)
