Help Freddy Crush Cancer!

Freddy had been rubbing a spot on his belly and told his doctor that he could feel a bump. His doctor determined it was a tumor and needed to be removed, so they immediately set a date for surgery. As the surgery was in progress his blood pressure began to rise dangerously and they were forced to stop the surgery in order to get his blood pressure under control. Then, they had to wait another week in the hospital for his blood pressure to go down. That is when they discovered that the mass had grown into his kidney and realized that they would need to remove one of his kidneys along with the mass. During the surgery the IV was not properly inserted and slipped out of his vein and his arm was pumped full of fluid for several hours. They immediately did a second surgery to open his arm in order to allow it to drain. Thankfully, he can move his fingers and they are expecting a full recovery of his arm. Unfortunately, that is when they received the terrifying diagnosis that the tumor was a rare malignant extra-adrenal paraganglioma. Freddy will need chemotherapy and radiation. They are also trying to determine if there are additional cancer cells elsewhere in his body.
Everyone who knows Freddy will tell you that he has the biggest heart in the world and he brings joy everywhere he goes. He loves school and thinks being in 7th grade at Alliance Leadership Academy is awesome. He is passionate about soccer and karate but his favorite thing in the world is spending time with his very close-knit family. Although he is an only child he is so close with his cousin Angela (8) and aunt Katherine (15) that they are more like sisters.
Prayers for healing and monetary contribution to aid in Freddy's medical expenses are desperately needed. There will be more medical expenses and weeks without his mother Sandra working. Any contribution you can spare is greatly appreciated by the Ramos family.
This link will be used to post updates on Freddy and his progress so please check back often.
Heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing thoughts and prayers.
