Introduction

FRIKAM was founded in 2017 as a creative outlet for three dedicated musicians from Tehran, Iran: Kamyar Mobasheri, Milad Heydari, and Siavash Jafari. However, the increasingly harsh conditions in Iran made it impossible to fully realize our vision there. Faced with immense challenges, we made the difficult decision to leave our homeland to pursue our dreams of making music without restrictions.

Despite being scattered across Europe and waiting for Milad to join us from Iran, our commitment to the band and its music has remained unwavering. Now, after years of dedication, we stand just steps away from bearing the first fruit of our journey, THE GRACE MONKEY.

The Concept Behind THE GRACE MONKEY

THE GRACE MONKEY is not just an album for us, it’s a deeply personal and conceptual project that captures our collective struggles and growth. It serves as a time capsule, preserving nearly a decade of our lives, during which we faced extreme individual and social challenges.
