UPDATE as of April 13, 2020:
We are Jumping for Joy because together we have surpassed our $40K fundraising goal!!! A huge and grateful thanks to each and every one of you for your generous donations and enthusiastic support for our beloved local restaurants and courageous frontline workers at Emerson Hospital. We are heart warmed by the breadth and depth of support within this community and inspired to see what we can accomplish when we come together.
The participating local restaurants are incredibly grateful for the business and all of the Emerson Hospital workers will enjoy many yummy meals in the weeks to come -- all thanks to YOU!!
We have decided to hit the “pause” button on fundraising for this campaign, for now, as we have collected enough money to provide the meals requested by Emerson for approximately 8 weeks (approximately 4,000 meals total).
We encourage everyone to keep fueling the fight against Covid-19 by donating to Emerson Hospital directly AND by continuing to get take-out from our local restaurants who continue to need our support. There are many other local community organizations that are working hard to provide support to their constituencies and we hope you will look for opportunities to support them and to support your neighbors and each other.
As time goes by, we may restart this campaign should the need arise and, in that case, we will be in touch.
In the meantime, keep fueling the fight, stay home and stay healthy!
With tremendous gratitude,
Fuel the Fight – Concord Team

100% of the money raised will be used to buy meals from local restaurants who are reeling from the coronavirus and feed the healthcare workers at Emerson Hospital who are on the front-lines battling this pandemic.
Fuel the Fight was started in Philadelphia on March 20 and after quickly expanding to Boston, New York City, Washington DC and Baltimore, all of us were inspired to start Fuel the Fight - Concord to support Emerson Hospital. In doing so, we hope that more cities and towns will duplicate these efforts around the region, state and – why not- the country.
Here’s what we’re doing:
1. Partnering with local Concord restaurants that are struggling and providing Emerson Hospital with catered meals for their healthcare workers.
2. Raising money through this GoFundMe effort to support these heroes.
Here’s how you can help:
1. Contribute! Whether it’s $1 or $1,000,000 dollars, it doesn’t matter. Anything helps.
2. Do your part and stay inside. This isn’t a joke and it’s not a snow day. If we all work together, we can beat COVID-19 and save our oldest generation.
The human spirit is truly amazing. Last week, New York asked for retired and private practice doctors to volunteer as the system was experiencing a stress test like never before. Within the hour, over 1000 nurses and doctors had volunteered, many of them retirees, putting them smack in the middle of the danger zone. The definition of heroism is happening right before our eyes.
We’ve all seen the recent headlines about different athletes, celebrities, business people and others stepping up and helping to feed families, school children, arena workers, etc. and it’s that positive energy and human spirit we want to continue to push forward.
Overworked, understaffed, separated from loved ones, exhausted and hungry, these warriors are fighting every hour of every day to save our loved ones and keep the rest of us safe.
We are grateful for your consideration and support!
