Fund Mason's Fight!

Hello friends, Mason is the 7-year-old son of Brandon and Kailyn Burris, and he has contracted a severe case of cellulitis, a big word for a deep skin infection caused by bacteria that have invaded his little body. No one knows how this started, but it is not out of the question that it was caused by a nasty bacteria churned up by Hurricane Ian's attack on our community. The infection has spread rapidly, and despite receiving excellent care at Childrens Hospital in Naples, the antibiotics did not prevent the infection from spreading, and Mason has just been airlifted to a hospital in Miami for emergency treatment. The family has followed, and his condition is critical. They have abandoned everything to be with him and need our support for medical expenses, lodging and family expenses, as they can not work now. Funding will go directly to the family to pay these expenses.

This young family's story is inspiring; Brandon and Kailyn met at St Matthews in Naples where Kailyn worked in the thrift shop. Brandon won a hard-fought battle against addiction and proudly graduated from the St. Matthews program. Full of hope, they started a whole new life, family and business together. In addition to Mason, they have a daughter Skyler and a brand new daughter Harper who is almost one year old. Brandon has built a marine services business from scratch and is respected for his honesty, hard work and warm personality. Kailyn cleans homes and offices and is developing a loyal clientele. They tirelessly came to the aid of many of us following the hurricane. The Naples community loves the family, and wants to support them during this extremely challenging and stressful time in their young lives.

Mason is an adorable chlid, a typical 7 year old who loves to go to school read to his baby sister, build with Lego’s and ride his skateboard.
