Fund my gliding club's new launch point facility

Hi, my name is Zack Smith, I am 14 years old and looking to raise funds for my gliding club, (Dartmoor Gliding Society) which is based near Brentor, Devon, England.

Currently, on the West side of the airfield there is a very small old portacabin on a trailer (as seen in the picture) it does not offer much room for visitors, parachutes, excess bags and an admin area. There are no adequate facilities; if enough funds are raised we can offer a warm and dry basic area. This could offer a place for visitors to sit and watch, have refreshments, room to store parachutes, a small administration area and lastly, provision to build a launch control area/tower. Quite a few years ago, the club raised funds for a retired bus, converting it into a wonderful facility on the East side of the airfield for visitors and pilots which provides all of the above facilities. I would like to raise funds so that the club can emulate this.

I attend this club on a weekly basis and more in the school holidays. I absolutely love it here! My eventual goal is to become a Naval Pilot. I have great admiration for my instructors and mentors within this club, giving their time up to guide, assist and instruct me. This is the reason for me starting this fundraiser, to acknowledge and show appreciation for them and all club members.

The club has many visitors that come, and experience gliding for the first time (gift vouchers and one day experiences) and thereafter, sometimes join the club. Dartmoor Gliding Society is a small not for profit community amateur sports club open to everyone. A very friendly club, they welcome visitors of all ages and abilities from absolute beginners to experienced pilots. Please come along and book a flight and try it for yourself...you will love it!
