Funds For Mijok's Hospital Bill, Brain Tumor.

Hi, my name is Dominic Mathiang, a cousin to Mijok Lang, also known as Hot Dogg by his stage name. On June 18, I received a phone call from one of our relatives in Juba -South Sudan.

The message was, “Mijok is sick, and he is referred to Nairobi for treatment.” I thought it was a minor sickness, but this is not the case now; Mijok is in critical condition.

 

I called Mijok, and he could not pick up my call; I sent him a message on his Facebook, but still, there was no response. I started to get concerned because he always responded on time to my messages. After contacting many people, I confirmed that Mijok is sick and unable to talk.

The doctors at Juba Teaching Hospital diagnosed Mijok with meningioma and recommended an urgent re-assessment in a tertiary setting.

Mijok was taken to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi yesterday, and surgery was done this morning. The good news is that the surgery was successful, and he is currently recovering in the Intensive care unit (ICU).

 

 

The family is anxious about the medical bill. A $4000 deposit was paid this morning, and nobody knows how long he will stay in the hospital and much money the hospital will ask for on the discharge day. With that being said, we need your help.

 

For those who do not know Mijok Lang

 

He is a very friendly, social, and kindhearted person. Like many other Lost Boys of Sudan, his refuge life did not hold him back. He became a humanitarian activist and a musician -one of his well-known songs is “Tuk de Miing,” listing to it on YouTube. He also has the ambition of joining politics in which he is one of the People's Liberals Party’s founders. PLP is a registered political party in South Sudan. We need him to recover quickly, he has many ideas for helping humanity.
