“‘You are a leader.’ […] it inspired me so much and it made me reflect on what it is I was doing.”
-Joel Douglas
Joel grew up challenged by discouraging words of “you’re just a young black man, the odds are against you, you cannot become this, you cannot become that.” He was involved in trouble; he was stealing clothes from a flea market and transporting guns. But after a life-changing weekend at the Future Aces Youth Leadership Conference, he was inspired to make positive choices for a successful future.
Each year, we host a leadership conference that inspires and empowers students to be leaders in their communities. With a $500 donation, you can sponsor a student to attend the leadership conference and change their life.
The Herbert H. Carnegie Future Aces Foundation’s mission is to inspire and assist youth and adults to become the best they can be as responsible, respectful, peaceful, confident and caring citizens. The Foundation’s message of citizenship is based on the twelve attributes of Dr. Carnegie’s Future Aces Philosophy (Creed). FUTURE: always striving; ACE: to be the best you can be, continues to foster hope and propel audiences to action.
For half a century, the Future Aces Creed has been used as a tool to instill ethics, character-building and exemplary citizenship in all areas of the community. Our credo championing Attitude, Cooperation, Example and Sportsmanship affects the lives of more than 100,000 students annually across Ontario.
The Future Aces Foundation invites the community to help us provide more students with the life-changing experience of our annual youth conference. With your support, we can reach more students like Joel and help them choose positive pathways.
