Thanksgiving Meal for Green Bay, WI

On behalf of the Christian Outreach Ecumenical Thanksgiving Ministry team, I am excited to announce that plans are in place to serve a FREE meal to those who are in need or alone this Thanksgiving Day 2016. The event will take place on November 24th, 2016 at the Green Bay Packer Atrium at Lambeau Field.
With your help, we will be able to provide this powerful and fulfilling event to our guests both at the Packer Atrium and through home delivery. At a time during their greatest need, our guests realize the power of community and leave knowing that they are cared for and not forgotten.
Thanksgiving, is traditionally a time set aside for expressing gratitude and giving thanks. We witness this through a dedicated group of over 150 volunteers who humbly serve during the event. This event includes an ecumenical worship service, music offered up from a local high school band, a visit from Santa for all children who attend and a few goodies to take home at the end of the day.
We fill the Atrium floor with approximately 900 guests and serve a traditional Thanksgiving plated meal. Home meal delivery goes out to 1,200 Brown County residents who are homebound or alone.
We solely rely on the generosity of our community to continue this special event that started over 30 years ago. Each and every year I am blessed to see this outreach grow and witness the impact that it has made on the lives of those who attend but also those who give through time and talents. Our Christian Outreach committee strives to make a difference for others within the Green Bay community on a day where a Thanksgiving meal may be difficult to come by.
The Green Bay Packers GIVEBACK initiative supports us by donating the space and internal resources such as tables and chairs. Delaware North has blessed us through providing helping hands to cook and meal prep. I ask you, to help us raise enough funds to purchase the food that will be provided, so that we can continue showing kindness and support to those in need.
