Support the Chosen Rehab Orphanage with Ghana Culture Club, Danɛ Clothing, and Tressence
This December isn’t just about fun and connecting—it’s also about giving back to the community that inspires us. Ghana Culture Club, Danɛ Clothing, and Tressence have launched an initiative to support the Chosen Rehab Orphanage, an incredible organization dedicated to providing care, love, and support to children in need. These children range from orphaned children to those in need of rehabilitation and a second chance. The orphanage houses children between the ages of 2 and 19 years old, with the majority being under 13 years of age. There are currently four babies, and 10 children are over the age of 13. Most of the children come from social welfare centres, and all of them, except the babies, attend school. By providing them with hope and the tools for a brighter future, we aim to make a meaningful difference. Together, we can create a lasting impact and truly change lives.
Our goal is to at least raise €1000 to help the orphanage with its most pressing needs, including:
- Clothing: Sizes for children aged 1–3 years and 4–9 years.
- Support for school fees to ensure continued education.
- School supplies: English storybooks, coloring books, subject books.
- Furniture for the library: Tables and chairs.
- Medications: Painkillers, paracetamol syrup, vitamin C, and cough syrup.
- Food items: Rice, corn, gari, plantain, chicken, eggs, cereal, tom browns, and Milo.

As members of the diaspora, we owe so much to our motherland. Our identities, roots, culture, and creativity all originate from Ghana, and for that, we are deeply grateful. This December, we’re not just reconnecting with our roots and celebrating Ghanaian culture. We’re giving back to the place that shaped us, our parents, and our elders.
This initiative goes beyond labels like “Detty December.” Together we believe in using this time to celebrate the richness of Ghanaian culture and make a meaningful difference.
