GSU Executive MBA South Africa Charity Fundraiser

We are the 2024 Executive MBA class at Georgia State University and are raising funds for two South African organizations we will visit in January. Our organizations, Project Playground and the Amy Foundation provide essential and life-changing support to children and youth living in South Africa’s most poor and vulnerable communities.

Project Playground works exclusively with children who live in systematically and socially broken communities that lack a social safety net of any kind. Many of the children come from broken and abusive families and are the victims of neglect, abuse, and orphanhood. Project Playground provides early and long-term intervention to create holistic change across the individual, community, and system. The Amy Foundation’s mission is to provide children who live in challenged and vulnerable communities with a safe environment to develop as emotionally well-rounded youth who make positive life choices and become contributing members of society.

Your donations will make an impact. For example, at Project Playground, just $85.00 funds an entire month of therapy sessions for a child with a profound disability. At the Amy Foundation, youth will learn practical vocational skills to prepare them for the real world, break the cycle of poverty, and build productive lives. Your donations will provide support and opportunities for children and youth with little hope for the future.

100% of your donations will be divided evenly and presented to each organization during our international residency in late January 2024. Thank you for making an impact on South Africa’s most vulnerable.
